The Role
This role is mobile working in Leeds/Bradford to support construction businesses to have access to the people, skills and training they need.
You will be the local CITB engagement adviser in Leeds & Bradford, building and establishing effective relationships at local levels. Engaging with employers and a targeted range of local employer groups, training providers, local decision makers, stakeholders and partners to deliver CITB’s strategic and business plans.
You will help employers to support people to enter the construction industry via apprenticeships or other suitable routes and ensure the construction industry has the skills it needs to support growth.
You will have experience in relationship building with employers to support and encourage them to attract people into the construction industry.
You will develop positive relationships and work with local partners and networks connecting them to employers to enable the achievement of both CITB funded and CITB supported programmes.
You will work with employers and employer groups to support them to be able to access the training that they need.
You will gather and provide customer (employer) insights, market intelligence and reporting engagement activity into the business.
You will professionally communicate key messages and guidance regarding apprenticeships, skills, training, CITB and other partner offers to employers, employer groups, local partners and networks through face to face and online channels.
About you
Educated to a minimum of A Level (or Scottish equivalent SCQF level 6) you are a creative, innovative thinker with a track record of encouraging others to adopt new ways of working with a range of different stakeholders and partners. You’ll bring to the role good knowledge of apprenticeships, education and skills programmes and knowledge of funding mechanisms. We expect you to have experience of managing and delivering successful projects in a collaborative way. Experience of delivering inspiring presentations, organising events and business planning is essential. You will be able to build relationships and influence people at a senior level.
Frequent travel across local areas will be a requirement of the role.
The post is a grade E: £30,655 - £36,119 per annum
The role also attracts + Car Allowance or Company Car
