The CITB Board have recently announced that the planed divestment of the National Construction College will not proceed and as such is to be retained in CITB. As such the college are looking to fill the post of Health and Safety Manager for the college to cover what is now a college of reduced size and operations. As such the new role will combine the need for someone who has an extensive demonstrable experience in a construction environment operating as a Manager who is comfortable communicating at Senior Management and Executive levels but at home equally on the ground working with operatives and Supervisors in carrying out site inspections and audits. The indicate will have sound knowledge in the development implementation and operating safety management systems preferably ISO 45001. The candidate will be NEBOSH Diploma (or will be near to completing this) and NEBOSH Construction Certificate holder with a record of CPD and membership of IOSH. The role is mobile with two to three days each week working at the Bircham Newton site in Norfolk with occasional travel for one or two days every 6 to 8 weeks to our site in Glasgow. There may also be various occasions for travel to locations around the UK with overnight stays.
