Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Peterborough/Hybrid

Salary Range: £45,000 - £55,000

Role Purpose:

▪The role of the project manager is to support successful delivery of projects within CITB, ensuring their effective planning to deliver agreed activities and realising agreed benefits.
▪The role involves working with both internal and external stakeholders, as required, to ensure projects are delivered to agreed cost, scope, and timescales.
▪Reporting to the Head of Product this role works closely with other Change and Project Mangers, the wider Programme Team (where applicable) and Project Team members.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. The initiation, development, governance, and management of projects through the production and maintenance of realistic, deliverable project plans, including management of project budget and resources to ensure outputs are delivered to agreed levels.

2. Active management and decision making in respect of project risks and issues within agreed tolerances to ensure expected outputs are achieved.

3. Using influencing and diplomacy skills in order to be able to achieve the right outcome for the project, working with others effectively across other CITB teams in order to achieve synergies.

4. Develop and deliver robust stakeholder management plans and communications road map.

5. Establish efficient and clear project reporting processes to ensure transparency of progress, documentation of dependencies and escalations communicated and addressed in a timely manner.

6. Effectively lead the project team, including clearly communicating project objectives, gaining the support of project team (and wider stakeholders) for the project vision, and maintaining motivation of the group. 

7. Support the Head of Product ensuring projects are delivered and aligned with the wider CITB strategic plan.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential
▪ Relevant professional qualification, such as APM or Prince 2.
▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate information.
▪ An appreciation of technology implementations as an enabling force to support business activities.
▪ A working knowledge of Microsoft products.
▪ Excellent communication, influencing and diplomacy skills. Broad experience of successful delivery of large scale projects across multiple teams.
▪ Self-motivated and able to plan and organise own workload.

Desirable
▪ Experience in contributing towards complex programme planning and budgeting.
▪ Prior knowledge of construction industry.

Special Conditions/Other Requirements:

▪ Travel as required throughout UK
