Mae CITB yn awyddus i recriwtio cyfieithydd profiadol i weithio gyda’n Cynghorydd Polisi Iaith Gymraeg a’r tîm ehangach yng Nghymru. Hon yw’r unig rôl sydd wedi’i neilltuo’n benodol i gyfieithu yn y sefydliad, felly, bydd disgwyl i chi gyflawni cyfieithiadau i safon uchel ac yn aml, bydd rhai ohonynt yn dechnegol eu natur. Yn ogystal â rheoli eich llwyth gwaith eich hun ar gyfer ceisiadau cyfieithu, byddwch hefyd yn gyfrifol am oruchwylio’r berthynas o ddydd i ddydd gyda’n hasiantaeth gyfieithu allanol i sicrhau bod yr holl ofynion cyfieithu’n cael eu cyflawni’n brydlon ac yn gywir.

- Profiad blaenorol o gyfieithu’n broffesiynol
- Profiad o ddefnyddio meddalwedd cof cyfieithu, Trados yn ddelfrydol
- Meddu ar aelodaeth sylfaenol Cymdeithas Cyfieithwyr Cymru neu fod yn barod i weithio tuag ati
- Dealltwriaeth hyderus o nodweddion naturiol, gramadeg a chystrawen y Gymraeg a’r Saesneg
- Profiad o negodi terfynau amser sy’n addas i bob parti a gweithio’n effeithlon yn unol â'r rhain
- Profiad o gyfathrebu’n effeithiol â chydweithwyr mewnol ac allanol ar bob lefel
- Profiad o weithio’n annibynnol a chynllunio eich gwaith eich hun
- Profiad o weithio dan bwysau ac o fewn amserlenni tynn, a blaenoriaethu gwaith yn unol â hynny

CITB are looking to recruit an experienced translator to work with our Welsh Language Policy Advisor and the wider Wales-based team. This role is the only dedicated translator in the organisation and therefore, you would be expected to carry out translations to a high standard, some of which will be technical in nature. As well as managing your own workload of translation requests, you will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day relationship with our external translation agency to ensure that all translation requirements are fulfilled timely and accurately.
Essential requirements include:
- A track record of translating in a professional capacity
- Experience of using translation memory software, preferably Trados
- Either possess basic membership of the Association of Welsh Translators and Interpreters or be willing to work towards it
- Possess a confident understanding of the natural characteristics, grammar and syntax of the Welsh and English languages
- Experience of negotiating deadlines suitable to all parties and working efficiently within them
- Experience of communicating effectively with internal and external colleagues at all levels
- Experience of working independently and planning own work
- Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines and prioritising work accordingly
- Be IT literate have a good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages
- Possess an enthusiasm for the Welsh language and its relevance and importance in the public sector

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English and Welsh
