Role purpose:

To manage and develop either CITBs Subject Matter Experts or Technical Capabilities in support of Product Management. Manage elements of development of new or existing products and services in partnership with Product Category Managers and other Departments within CITB and external organisations in order to meet the needs of CITB and the Construction Industry.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Manage development capacity and capability to meet priorities 
  • Identify and plan to ameliorate business risks 
  • Identify key interdependencies and agree appropriate SLAs 
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators and Critical Success Factors 
  • Participate in Analysis of data from customers, HSE and other teams
  • Matrix Manage cross organisational teams to achieve the desired change in products
  • Review any existing processes for efficiency or partnering opportunities
  • Decide on actions needed to resolve product issues and allocate resources against such
  • Identify and plan to ameliorate product risks internally and externally
  • Agree Key Performance Indicators and Critical Success Factors for each capability
  • Work with colleagues to lead and embed CITB Transformation
  • To identify and take forward opportunities to establish and develop new products and services within CITB or with other organisations in order to meet the needs of the construction industry.
