About the role:

As Financial Controller you’ll ensure that CITB has effective and evidence-based in-year financial management. You’ll ensure that we comply with all legal and financial reporting requirements and that our reporting is consistent across the board. And you’ll support the Finance Director in the management of the contractual relationship with the outsourcing partner.

You’ll co-ordinate the Finance Team and partner input to the business plan, budget and performance management framework. Annual reports and accounts and liaising with Audit and the NAO will fall under your remit, while delivering businessment improvement programmes that increase efficiency and achieve buy-in will be paramount.

Essential experience:

  • A recognised accountancy qualification from one of the CCAB-recognised Accountancy bodies or equivalent (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc.) along with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Operational knowledge of other business disciplines in order to resolve issues that have impact beyond your own discipline
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Up-to-date knoledge of the latest developments and changes in market conditions within the profession.
  • Advanced analytical skills.
