About the role:

Play a key role as a member of the Communications & Engagement (C&E) Team providing the leadership necessary for effective insight-led campaigns and communications which reflect CITB’s purpose and values. This role will help lead and shape a newly created team within the business that is aligned to our Vision 2020 commitment to build our influence and engagement activity.

This role will operate within CITB’s new C&E delivery model in partnership with CITB’s Creative Agency Partner (CAP) and Enabling Partner (EP) SSCL. It will provide specialist digital advice and counsel to internal clients including C&E colleagues to secure communications outcomes according to business plan, brief and budget. This post has a crucial role to play in building relationships with our CAP, EP, IT and Customer Insights Manager to ensure that CITB has a credible, modern and relevant digital presence that delivers an accessible, high-quality customer journey.

This role will also champion a digital first approach driving channel shift in collaboration with partners across CITB and acting as guardian of CITB’s digital brand. The role will lead our digital work supporting on core campaigns activity targeted at potential recruits, career changers, influencers and decision-makers whilst also driving a change in training behaviour amongst employers of all sizes.

This role will also provide integrated communications and campaigns support to CITB’s core business areas including apprenticeships, standards and qualifications, funding, research, external affairs, grant/levy and products.

Essential:

  • Experienced digital communications professional with demonstrable experience in campaigns, communications or marketing
  • Educated to degree level with relevant professional qualification(s) or experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concepts and principles within own professional discipline, gained through broad and in-depth experience – a recognised expert and acknowledged authority within their particular field of expertise
  • Demonstrable experience of client-orientated, solutions-focused professional practise to inform the creation of high quality, impactful and compelling communications
  • A broad level of strategic and tactical experience and understanding to enable the direction/creation of credible, integrated content to support campaigns and communication activity
