Role purpose:

The People team ensures that all functions and teams are resourced, with the right skills and capabilities, ensuring our people are supported to become high performers.  Working closely with our outsourced Partner organisation, the Talent Acquisition Advisor plays a crucial role in identifying, attracting and selecting high calibre talent to the organisation. The position involves collaboratively working with hiring managers and People Team partners to ensure a proactive, and efficient resourcing solution from vacancy briefing to onboarding, together with an outstanding, inclusive candidate experience.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. Take ownership of the talent acquisition cycle process from vacancy briefing to onboarding, working closely with our outsourced provider
2. Carry out briefings with hiring managers and key collaborators in partnership with the relevant People Business Partners to fully understand talent acquisition needs and develop impactful resourcing plans. Provide expert advice to hiring managers on talent acquisition best practice and processes within CITB
3. Provide expert guidance and support to hiring managers on our ATS

4. Seek opportunities to enhance our ATS and talent acquisition processes. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement
5. Provide expert advice and guidance on appropriate talent acquisition media, including social media, job boards, LinkedIn, and manage relationship with recruitment agencies
6. Develop and deliver talent acquisition toolkits and training to hiring managers

7. Take ownership of talent acquisition data, providing regular updates to hiring managers on the status of open positions and also quarterly resourcing activity data. This will include weekly meetings with our outsourced provider and coordination of those agendas
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant recruitment legislation, monitoring this through reporting the performance of our outsourced provider against our expectations
9. Proactively work on embedding and embracing inclusivity within the talent acquisition process with support from relevant HR team members

10. Work with People Business Partners to forecast resourcing needs and add value to role profile design
11. Manage the role profile data bank ensuring it is reflective of current status, design and manage the tracking of role profile changes

12. Contribute to activities within the job evaluation process
13. Report, in partnership with Finance, the establishment headcount vacancy status ensuring clarity for relevant stakeholders
14. Contribute to employer branding initiatives in partnership with the Communications team

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential
• HR experience with a Talent Acquisition focus
• CIPD level 3 and working towards level 5 (level 5 being desirable)
• Excellent knowledge of talent acquisition processes, relevant employment law
• Strong skills in working with HR systems, producing HR Reports and metrics
• Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with hiring managers and candidates
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrates a focus on delivering positive candidate experience
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrates initiative
• Is flexible and approachable
• Experience of handling confidential and sensitive information in line with GDPR

Desirable
•Experience of sourcing candidates from CV databases, LinkedIn and social media

•Experience of working with a third-party company or outsourced provider

Special Conditions/Other Requirements:

Role will require minimum one day per week to be based at Peterborough Head Office and the ability to increase this when required when given due notice
Flexibility to travel to other CITB locations when required, usually as part of relationship building at key sites and/or attendance at planned HR team meetings
Some anti-social hours required, usually travel related
UK wide travel, not expected to be frequent
