Expected starting salary (subject to experience) of £53,350 plus car allowance.

The role

Applications are welcomed for the role of Funding Product Manager to join a professional, dynamic, and forward-thinking product team.

As the Funding Product Manager you will be responsible for the end-to-end operational delivery of all of CITB’s funding products.  This includes budget management, performance management, product improvement and promotion throughout the product lifecycle.  The role holder will use their experience to support the development of new products and on-going improvement of existing products, to ensure they meet the requirements of CITB’s strategic objectives and the needs of the industry.

Key activities

You will be responsible for the below:

  1. Lead and develop a high performing product and operations team.
  2. Oversee and support the assessment of high value funding applications.
  3. Develop and deliver robust product plans aligned to CITB’s strategic priorities.
  4. Implement improvements for both new and existing funding products.
  5. Monitor, analyse and interrogate data in order to report on product performance.
  6. Be responsible for the financial performance of all CITB’s Funding products.
  7. Forecast budget requirements and agree KPI measures using industry insight.
  8. Improve operational delivery of products including opportunities to reduce risk and fraud.
  9. Champion CITB’s Funding products via promotion, awareness, and training.
  10. Effectively manage relationship with internal and external customers.
  11. Resolve complaints or escalations ensuring a consistent fair approach.

  • Experienced people manager, leading high-performance teams
  • Fully confident with product management techniques and product lifecycles
  • Experience of managing and forecasting a product budget of c£50m
  • Highly developed written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience in managing customer and other stakeholder relationships
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills at a senior level
  • Resource management

  • Delivered continuous improvement plans
